poems for Theatr Harlech
footsteps
I step through , here
inside , where all the scenes
repeat
ordered , shuffled . we
did not measure
these acts & yesterday
's a footprint in place
we are not
protected . do not see
we open doors
on new days
.sceneries.
what did you find
on that side ? the
curtain they draw
on unhappily here
afters . grease , paint
& powder come off
eventually & death
was only a figure . wearing
old faces , we step out
into streets
smelling of rain . we have
new lines to learn

now
unrepeatably
I’m wearing my history mask
one day I’ll know
the wearing of all these spaces , the places
of questionable safety
hear the silence
& give it colour
see
the arrangement of bones , the bare
arrangements
of a lost time
now
unrepeatably
I’m wearing my history mask
one day I’ll know
the wearing of all these spaces , the places
of questionable safety
hear the silence
& give it colour
see
the arrangement of bones , the bare
arrangements
of a lost time
